The RX Optimal membership is available to residents of all 50 U.S. states. Provider availability and prescribing authority vary by state. Your assigned provider will be licensed in your state of residence.
A licensed provider will review your health assessment and conduct a telehealth consultation, which may take place via live video or through an asynchronous provider review, as determined by your provider and in accordance with the telehealth laws of your state. If the provider determines that treatment is appropriate, a prescription will be sent to a licensed pharmacy for fulfillment. Typical processing and delivery time is approximately 4–5 business days. Your care team is available throughout your membership at help@rxoptimal.com.
No. The RX Optimal membership is a self-pay healthcare service and does not require insurance. Flexible payment options are available.
GLP-1 receptor agonists are a class of medications originally developed for type 2 diabetes that have also been FDA approved (in their brand-name forms) for weight management in certain patients. The compounded versions available through the RX Optimal membership are NOT FDA approved and have not been independently evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Your provider will evaluate your medical history, current medications, and contraindications (including a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome) to determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.
You may pause or cancel your membership at any time. If you and your provider decide to discontinue GLP-1 treatment, your provider may recommend a tapering schedule. Weight regain after discontinuation is common and your provider can discuss strategies for long-term weight management.
Your RX Optimal membership includes telehealth consultations with a licensed provider, a personalized care plan, prescription fulfillment if appropriate, and shipping. All pricing is displayed on our membership plans page.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enroll in the RX Optimal membership. GLP-1 medications are not prescribed to individuals under 18 through this platform.
Because GLP-1s for weight management are indicated for obesity or overweight with a related condition, your clinician will reassess and may adjust dosing, shift to maintenance, or pause/discontinue depending on your health goals and risk factors.

Includes telehealth consultations

The assessment made available on the RX Optimal website does not create a doctor-patient relationship between the individual completing the assessment and RX Optimal. OpenLoop Health, a network of US-licensed doctors that adhere to rigorous medical protocols designed for patient safety, has established exclusionary criteria to determine if an individual does not qualify for GLP-1s. The answers an individual provides to the RX Optimal assessment determine if the individual is screened out of eligibility for GLP-1 medication, and a OpenLoop Health clinician will meet with the individual after checkout to determine if they qualify for a prescription. OpenLoop Health clinicians retain the sole discretion to prescribe compounded GLP-1s to patients.

All claims and results referenced on this website reflect self-reported data from members enrolled in the RX Optimal healthcare membership program, which includes telehealth consultations with licensed providers and, where clinically appropriate, compounded GLP-1 medications. Members reported their weight at initial intake and at regular intervals thereafter. Individual results vary and depend on factors including starting weight, program adherence, diet, exercise, and the clinical recommendations of the treating provider. Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. These medications are not FDA approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. The decision to prescribe compounded medications is an individualized clinical determination made by the treating provider based on the patient's medical history, current health status, and telehealth assessment. RX Optimal does not manufacture or compound medications. Actual medication appearance may differ from website imagery.

Pharmacy Partners: Prescriptions are filled by independently owned and operated state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies within the RX Optimal pharmacy network.
